Happy Feature Friday!
Today I’m not only featuring an amazing Interior Designer (Melaine Thompson) but I’m featuring one of her ‘sweet’ DIYs as well. Like me, Melaine loves a good DIY and you’ll see why. I actually stumbled across her DIY Faux Zebra Rug Tutorial the other day and I’m ‘DIYing’ (get it? HA) to try it out for myself (You can actually see the zebra rug in one of the photos below).
It’s so important to find pieces that have good bones. If you find a chair with a wicker back that is still intact BUY IT! Actually… buy it if it’s a good deal ;). This chair has amazing legs, love that wicker back and the arms are just so cute!
I love how Melaine has taken this from drab to fab with a bit of black paint to create a classic look. And who would of thought that you could transform indoor chairs to use them outdoors?! I think this is a great idea for some DIY Patio Furniture.
Last but not least, the fabric Melaine chose for the seat is beautiful. I love the black and white giving it a classic look and I really like those faint stripes.
She’s done an amazing job and has truly inspired me to fix up some of my old chairs. Have you ever worked on a project like this? Let me know in the comments below. Please check out Melaine’s website: My Sweet Savannah
Thanks for hanging out!
