You read that right. We’re going to clad our Dimplex fireplace in black shiplap and it’s going to look AMAZING! Here’s a look at some inspiration from Pinterest you give you an idea of what I’m talking about.



Now can you see it? I’m not crazy right? 🙂 The fireplace has been build out and the walls are FINALLY prepped for some paint. I think things are going to happen pretty fast from here on out. Next week we’ll have our Benjamin Moore Paint on the walls (I’ve got a post about paint colours coming shortly) and the flooring starts to go in. I’ve been teasing pictures of the wood flooring that we have chosen but JUST YOU WAIT until you see the high density porcelain tile we picked for our foyer. They are 32″ square slabs and they are pretty incredible. Really can’t wait to see things look a little more livable. Especially considering we move in in just a week and a half (I’m not worried at all…. seriously though). My parents are bringing pizza to the house tonight to help us pack. Makes it that much easier when you have things organized in boxes and you pack weeks ahead. We probably should have started weeks ago haha.
