OUR NEW HOUSE

It’s hard to believe that Ryan and I have already lived in our new house for a few months. Now that we’ve settled and organized our stuff… it’s time for a full house tour. I’m taking you wayyyy back to when we were building our home. First and foremost… click the picture below to see some of my ‘decor plans’ for the house before it was built. I can’t wait to do a comparison when I start sharing our reveals.

Have you ever thought about building a home?

This is our second time building a house and we absolutely love it. There’s nothing better than getting to choose EVERY SINGLE aspect of your house. The floors, the counter tops, cabinets, wall colours and knobs AND it feels amazing to know that no one has ever lived there before. You get to personalize your home without the mess of a renovation… even though I’d love to try out some demolition I think I’ll stick to my DIY Decor projects for now.

Coming up over the next few weeks I’ll be revealing some of the rooms in our house now that they’re decorated. Here’s a sneak peak of a few projects.

1) Reupholstered Wing Back Chairs

These chairs were my grandmothers, my mothers and now they’re mine. I LOVE the way they turned out. You’ll have to wait to see the finished product. Here’s what they looked like before. Great bones right!?

2) Our Kitchen

Here’s our kitchen after we added the island lights and the backsplash. You can see that we were in the process of installing our stove, fridge and hood fan. Stay tuned for updated pictures.

3) The Living Room

This is one of the first photos I took of our living room when we got our furniture in place. Since then, I’ve acquired some artwork, a new rug, some plants, pillows and I was able to upcycle our living room table. Remember the post? Not to worry. You can see it here:
