ONE ROOM CHALLENGE: WEEK THREE

ORC Spring2015 Calling it Home

This past weekend was extremely productive. Ryan and I managed to finish our Faux Brick Wall for the ‘One Room Challenge’ created by Calling it Home and it looks INCREDIBLE! I am absolutely thrilled with how it turned out and would recommend it to anyone. The panels were really easy to install and the price was comparable to wallpaper.

If you saw the picture first… it’s not mine haha. It’s an image on Pinterest that inspired me to create a Faux Brick Wall in the first place.

And  after seeing this display in Ikea I decided I DEFINITELY had to recreate a Brick Wall.

Beautiful right!? You’d be shocked at how easy it is to recreate this look.

Here’s what you’ll need:

My Total Cost: $177.36

So we hung the artwork I created (You can follow that DIY by clicking here), we purchased new sheets, pillow shams and pillows. My latest purchase? New curtains! The room is really starting to come together.

Check back next Thursday for my next ‘One Room Challenge‘ post. I hope to have the curtains hanging., the night stands prepped and primed and the bed. assembled.

Until next time,

Well hey there! We tackled the same project last week. With ours, I was completely surprised at how good it actually came out and how relatively easy it was to get it on the wall. Yours looks great – I can totally see the direction you’re going with your room. We’re actually painting ours out for a home office- so a bit of a different effect, but still so realistic looking! I’ll be following along. Can’t wait to see your room come together.

such a cool look! I love it!! Still not sure what to do as a feature wall in our guestroom for the ORC, but you’ve definitely sparked some creativity for me! Can’t wait to see your progress next week 🙂 ~Rachael

Are there other ways to hang the paneling that leave even less damage, if you wanted to remove them and change up the look again after while?
